Poppy Boyden
Physiotherapist
Poppy graduated from Cardiff University in 2022 with a First-Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. She currently works full-time as a Physiotherapist for Cardiff Rugby Academy and Cardiff RFC. Previously, she gained experience as a rotational physiotherapist in the NHS, served as Lead Physiotherapist at the Nike Euro Sports Camp 2023, and spent three seasons at Pontypridd RFC. She is HCPC and CSP registered.
Poppy has a specialist interest in post-operative rehabilitation and the assessment and rehabilitation of acute sporting injuries. She is skilled in massage, soft tissue release, dry needling, and various taping techniques.
As a former athlete, Poppy competed for Great Britain in Biathlon and was part of the English Talent Programme for Modern Pentathlon, giving her firsthand experience of managing injuries while balancing high training demands. More recently, she has taken on endurance challenges, completing Ironman Wales, the Eton Dorney 10k swim, and an ultramarathon.
