Thomas Powell
Sports Massage Therapist
Thomas earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of South Wales in 2012, followed by a Master's in Neuroimaging from Cardiff University in 2019. Throughout his studies, he worked with both athletes and the general public in clinical settings, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
A lifelong sport fanatic, Thomas has been passionate about cricket, football and weightlifting from an early age, fuelling his fascination with how the body moves and functions. He is particularly interested in the connection between movement patterns and performance, both in sport and everyday life.
After experiencing injuries, Thomas shifted his focus to triathlon training and improving functional fitness. This transition sparked his passion for helping others optimise their training and recovery.
Recently, he achieved his Extended Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage and is excited to bring his expertise and enthusiasm to Proactive Chiropractic.
Outside of the clinic, Thomas can often be found at the gym or training for Ironman 70.3. On weekends, he regularly participates in Cardiff Park Runs and brushes up on the rules of Ice Hockey.
